ATTENTION COUPE DRIVERS

TIRE RULES FOR THE COUPES ARE THE SAME AS FOR THE MODIFIEDS!!!

TRIO OF NORTHEAST DIRT PROMOTERS JOIN FORCES TO FORM STRONG DIRT RACING ALLIANCE

In what many in the Northeast dirt racing scene thought could never happen, became a reality when three of the Northeast's premier dirt track racing promoters gathered at the Diamond Run Mall car show in Rutland, Vermont this past Sunday, March 21st. The three promoters, C.V. Elms from Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vermont, Mike Rivers from Big Daddy's Speedbowl in Rumney, New Hampshire, and Dick Therrien, Canaan Dirt Speedways new promoter, sat down and ironed out details on making the three tracks main division, the Sportsman Modifieds, eligible to race at all three tracks. "We all made concessions in best interest of the sport and especially the race teams, stated Therrien. We now will all be on the same tires and have a crate and non-crate engine package that will make everyone eligible to run at all three tracks. We have been working so hard to put this package together. I am proud of all of us that have been involved. We have really done something great for the sport, for our fans and our racers." C.V. Elms expressed his opinion in a similar fashion, "It took a lot of work, but I can proudly say that I walked away from the table feeling pretty good about what we accomplished. We all had the same goals in mind, and now we can move ahead feeling good about the upcoming season." Mike Rivers was also very satisfied with the results as he explained, "My goal from the start was to have all three tracks working in unison, and by golly, this rules package will certainly go a long way towards making this work. I'm very proud to be a part of this group. Now, we have to keep the communication lines open, and if that happens, it will be a great season!" With this updated rules package in line, it will now allow Modified racers the opportunity to race three times a week if they choose. Friday's at Canaan, Saturday's at Bear Ridge and Sunday's at Big Daddy's Speedbowl. TWIN STATE SERIES TO BE SPONSORED BY GRAVCO JANITORIAL SERVICES

The latest news release out of the new Northeast dirt track alliance, Bear Ridge Speedway, Canaan Fair Speedway, and Big Daddy's Speedbowl, is the announcement of the rebirth of the Twin State Modified Series. The Series formally ran races at both Canaan and at Bear Ridge. Now the announcement has been made that the Series will be run at all three tracks with each facility hosting two events, and the Series will be sponsored by Gravco Janitorial Services located in Barre, Vermont. We are pleased to make this announcement for our race teams and fans, Bear Ridge owner and promoter, C.V. Elms explained, "This was a great Series a few years ago, one that the race teams looked forward to. This new opportunity will allow teams to experience the excitement by racing at all three tracks for the Series championship. The events will each be 40 lap grinds with added purse dollars and a $1,025 point fund to be shared by the top five point drivers in the Series. The Gravco Janitorial Services Twin State Modified champion will receive $400, 2nd place $250, 3rd place $150, 4th place $125, 5th place $100." Big Daddy's Speedbowl promoter, Mike Rivers is just as excited. "This is big for all three tracks. This Series will attract extra competitors to each track, and it will give each tracks fans an opportunity to enjoy some great racing, and to see some of the Northeast's top dirt modified racers that they normally wouldn't see on a normal race night. This is big news for fans and racers alike!" "We are very fortunate to have landed a sponsor for our Series, stated Canaan Fair Speedway General Manager, Dick Therrien. Brent Graves, owner of Gravco Janitorial Services, is ecstatic about this Series and is super excited about supporting this new touring series. I am so excited, as this Series always provided top notch racing. With this economy, the extra money in purses and the solid point fund will be very attractive to many race teams."
