4 cylinder Demo Derby September 26th RULES

No hybrid vehicles, no mid-engine cars. No 4-wheel or all wheel drives. No "plastic" bodied cars like Saturns, Fieros, etc. No convertibles, BMW, Saabs, Volvos, Mercedes, or Pickup Trucks.
2. All glass and chrome trim and anything that might become embedded in the track must be removed from the car. This includes door handles, wheel weights, fiberglass nose & tail pieces, headlights, etc. Trailer hitches must be removed. DO NOT leave broken glass in the doors, clean them out. Front windshield is optional. Airbags must be disconnected and removed.
3. All flammable materials must be removed from the interior of the car. This includes the carpet, headliner, door panels, and rear seats. Passenger side bucket seat may be left in and driver's door may be padded.
4. Car must be cleaned out, including the trunk. Do not leave garbage in the car. Also, don't leave broken glass in the doors. ALL GLASS MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE CAR (Excluding front windshield)
5. Tires must be stock size, 4-ply passenger car tires only. No racing or truck tires or inner liners. NO DONUT TIRES
6. No antifreeze or Freon allowed.
7. A maximum of three (3) gallons of gasoline will be allowed. Gas tanks may be moved to the trunk but will not be allowed in the driver's compartment unless it is made of approved material and is covered by a metal firewall and the original gas tank is removed. Original stock gas tank may be used if installed properly as determined by track official.
8. Only one stock car battery will be allowed. It may be moved to the driver's compartment, but must be secured and covered.
9. No reinforcement of any kind will be allowed. No welding except to hold the driver's door shut.
10. DRIVER DOOR MUST BE SECURELY WELDED SHUT with optional 2” bar in door only (no other reinforcements). Passenger door welded or chained closed.
11. TRAILER HITCHES must be removed. No grill guards or bumper supports
12. Helmets and safety belts must be in good, working condition and must be worn at all times while the driver is in the car. Neck braces are highly recommended. Eye protection, long sleeve shirts, and long pants or fire suits MANDATORY.
12. A 12 x 15 inch hole must be cut in the center of the hood. Exhaust/header pipes may not protrude through hood.
13. Hood and trunk/hatchback latches must be removed. Hood and trunk/hatch must be wired shut, but not bolted or welded.
14. MUST have heavy ratchet strap behind driver's seat in order prevent seat breaking.
15. Additional safety regulations may be imposed.
16. Rules are subject to change to fit the event. THE DECISION OF THE JUDGE AND/OR TRACK OFFICIAL IS FINAL.
Event Rules and Regulations
1. Failure to obey these rules can lead to disqualification.
2. DRIVERS MAY MANEAUVER FORWARD OR BACWARD. No deliberate head-on collisions or deliberately ramming driver’s door. This can lead to disqualification. ALL DRIVERS DOORS MUST BE PAINTED WHITE to provide a visual flag.
3.A TIME LIMIT will be set by the judges. IF A DRIVERS DOES NOT HIT A LIVE CAR WITHIN THE LIMIT, this can lead to disqualifications. DO NOT PLAY POSSUM AND DO NOT INTENTIONAL HIT DEAD CARS!
4. Cars must stay within the marked track area.
5. NUMBERS must be painted on doors and top of roof, at least 24” numbers.
6. Additional rules may be imposed.

Guaranteed Pay - $800 to win, $300 for 2nd, $100 for 3rd
